Welcome to the first newsletter of our blog website. Hopefully this is an easy way for everyone to see what is happening in our classroom and stay connected with your child's learning. As the year develops I'm confident we will find even more ways to utilize this resource.
We had a busy week with Ugly Shakespeare coming and putting on an awesome performance of Twelfth night. It was a great way for some of our students to be introduced to some classical literature in a humorous and entertaining way. Some of our year sixes (Maia and Skyla) also competed in the annual swimming competition in Takaka where Maia finished 3rd in one of her events. Also thank you to students who went to help and support our team of swimmers. This week in class, in an effort to encourage students to take home their spelling words we have started getting them to email their words home as a spelling activity. If you have not received this email please let us know so we can fix the issue if needed. In the next week most of our high school students will be away with Matua Eric at the TOSI tournament. This also means that OE class will be taken by Mr.Clark whilst Matua Eric is away. Also on Tuesday 10.50-12.30 St Johns will be visiting our class to teach them about some health and safety topics as well as some basic cpr/accident responses. Otherwise, we wish you all a good week. Mr.Clark & Mrs.Menary.
